Don’t Just Build a Career. Learn How to Build a Business.

We are looking for an ambitious, competitive, and entrepreneurial professional who wants more than a traditional sales position.

The Agent Aspirant opportunity at Jerry Lucente State Farm is designed for someone who wants to develop the skills, discipline, and business acumen needed to pursue the opportunity to become a State Farm independent contractor agent in the future.

If your long-term goal is to lead people, develop a team, grow a customer base, drive revenue, and take ownership of your professional and financial future, this opportunity was built with that mindset in mind.

Think Like an Owner

As an Agent Aspirant, you’ll work directly with the Agent and agency leadership while gaining hands-on experience in the key areas that drive a successful agency.

You won’t simply learn how to sell insurance. You’ll learn how the pieces of a business work together—from prospecting and revenue generation to customer retention, team development, leadership, marketing, operations, and performance management.

The expectation is simple: learn the business, produce results, develop your leadership ability, and begin thinking like an owner.

What You’ll Learn to Build:

Business Development & Sales

Develop the ability to create opportunities instead of waiting for them.

  • Prospect and develop new customer relationships.

  • Build and manage a consistent sales pipeline.

  • Conduct needs-based insurance and financial services conversations.

  • Develop referral and networking strategies.

  • Learn how activity, conversion, retention, and production drive agency growth.

  • Set ambitious goals and create strategies to achieve them.

Customer Relationship Development

Learn how successful businesses turn customers into long-term relationships.

  • Develop relationships built on trust and consistent communication.

  • Conduct customer reviews and identify additional needs.

  • Create opportunities for referrals and account growth.

  • Understand the connection between customer experience, retention, and profitability.

Leadership & Team Development

Successful agencies are built by successful teams.

  • Develop your personal leadership and communication style.

  • Learn how to coach, motivate, and hold people accountable.

  • Help create a competitive, positive, and performance-driven culture.

  • Participate in team development, goal setting, and performance conversations.

  • Learn how to lead by example through your own production and activity.

Business Operations & Management

Learn what happens behind the scenes of a high-performing agency.

  • Understand daily agency operations and workflows.

  • Learn how to evaluate key business metrics.

  • Participate in planning, marketing, staffing, and operational decisions.

  • Develop time-management, financial, and organizational disciplines.

  • Learn how to balance sales growth with customer retention and service.

Your Scoreboard

Entrepreneurs measure results. Your development will include learning to manage and improve key performance indicators such as:

  • New business production

  • Prospecting and outbound activity

  • Financial services appointments

  • Production by sales line

  • Referral generation

  • Sales pipeline development

  • Customer retention

  • Account development

  • Team development

  • Customer experience

  • Individual and team goal achievement

Who We’re Looking For

This opportunity may be a great fit if:

  • You eventually want to run your own business.

  • You’re competitive and energized by measurable goals.

  • You’re willing to prospect, sell, follow up, and create your own opportunities.

  • You want your income and career trajectory to be influenced by your performance.

  • You naturally take ownership instead of waiting for direction.

  • You’re interested in learning how to recruit, develop, and lead a team.

  • You view challenges as opportunities to improve.

  • You’re coachable and willing to be held accountable to high expectations.

  • You’re willing to do the work today that can create bigger opportunities tomorrow.

This Isn’t Just About Your Next Job

It’s about developing the skills to potentially take the next major step in your career.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn firsthand what it takes to generate business, build relationships, develop people, manage performance, and operate a successful agency.

If your ambition is bigger than simply having a job—and you’re ready to prove yourself through your results—we want to meet you.

Learn the business. Lead the team. Produce results. Prepare to become the owner.

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
